The Public’s Perspective on How to Address Canada’s Privacy Deficit

OpenMedia has released a crowd-sourced report on ways to address Canada’s growing privacy deficit. Thousands of Canadians contributed to the report, expressing their concerns about “warrantless access to personal information, widespread dragnet surveillance of entire populations, and insufficient oversight and accountability of surveillance activities” in Canada.The Tyee, an independent online news site in British Columbia, has released a series of articles that highlight the findings of this report.
